Responsibilities
Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
Our Watson Solution Architects are responsible for both oversight and execution of the design, development, and implementation of natural language processing solutions tailored to the specific requirements and objectives of each client. Ideal candidates will have a background in NLP technologies, preferably IBM Watson Content Analytics, and will have experience architecting NLP solutions.
Qualifications
Experience developing solutions with IBM Watson Explorer, Data Explorer, Vivisimo, or related products
Experience working in a client facing role and working closely with customers to deliver cognitive computing solutions
Ability to provide client-facing technical leadership and solution design for large engagements
Proven ability to architect and design unique enterprise search solutions and custom configurations to support customer requirements
Participation in all client facing aspects of the system development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional and technical design, software installation and configuration, testing, documentation, training, and production deployments
Understanding of the process of collecting, ingesting, parsing, and transforming data
Management of training workshops and preparation of required documentation
Experience and demonstrated skills in some of the following: Java, Ruby, Python, CSS, Javascript, HTML, AJAX, REST API/SOAP UI/Web Services, XSL, XSLT, Node.js
Working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2
Experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop
Qualifications
Two years or more of professional experience with IBM Watson Explorer, Data Explorer, Vivisimo, or related products
Experience in developing web based applications in a J2EE environment
Experience with Java, Ruby, Python, CSS, Javascript, HTML, AJAX, REST API/SOAP UI/Web Services, XSL, XSLT, Node.js
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives, technical personnel, and end business users
Experience in requirements analysis, system design, and software implementations
Proven problem solving capabilities and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be open to at least 50% travel
Preferred skills and education:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
